“OUR FOOD PROFESSIONALS COME FIRST”

It is with great pride that I address our Food Family. The Arabian Society of Food Professionals has been set up as a networking and learning platform to accomplish many achievements never before encountered in the food sector. The fast growing food sector has always been accredited to our food professionals, with a deep understanding that in order to improve the lives of our people we must support the food industry professionals to have excellence in working culture to keep our promise for a safe and healthy food and lifestyle.

Our team evidently understands that how we drive is just as crucial as what we accomplish. It is through the spirit of teamwork and a strong sense of vision that we stride towards our vision, mission and goals. Historically we have witnessed many technological disruptions in the food sector that have wiped out entire industries. Operational agility is most essential in order to keep up with the speed of change and the need to pivot across all areas of the food business.

Although we are focused on our core services and targets, today we must recognize that the Arabian Society of Food Professionals has not identified itself as a technical forum, but rather a service provider and knowledge sharing platform. One that enhances all areas of its stakeholders' interests, adapting them to the ever-changing inter-regional connectivity and healthy lifestyle era.

Our food professionals come first; identifying their needs and wants is the driving force that pulls us towards our eagerness to deliver. Hand in hand we take the journey to pioneer the way in this fast-paced environment as we pave the way towards creating value for all our industrial stakeholders and truly honor our vision towards a healthy and safe world.

“WE NEED TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER”

It makes me really glad to be a founder president of the Arabian Society of Food Professionals and to lay the foundation of a multiethnic, cross-functional and broad range professional platform to serve the Food Community, not only in the Arab World but all over the world, by linking and networking the related professional forums.

I am much confident that this platform will be a landmark in the Arab World History as there was a dire need to have such a well-connected, focused, coherent and dynamic hub to exchange information in the modern day knowledge-based economies. We have much to learn from each other and we need to do more in networking and linking the food professionals of the region.

We have tremendous respect for what has been built over the years in the Arab World and now we have to look forward to furthering that legacy and making this new platform the best in class. I am much confident that the Society will be the primary home for the vast majority of food professionals down the road. The management team needs to combine different corporates and cultures together for the benefit of all the stakeholders of the food industry.

I have no doubt that we will successfully instill our operating discipline into community development — a much bigger idea than just connecting professionals. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I am humbled and honored by this opportunity to lead this professional network and I assure all of you that I will put every effort to meet the expectations of professionals, good governance and credibility enhancement.

“MULTIPLICITY, SHARING, NETWORKING, INCLUSION FOR ALL”

Multiplicity and inclusion of thought, skill, knowledge and culture make the Arabian Society of Food Professionals more reasonable, more resilient and better able to navigate the complex and constantly changing global and regional food business.

Diversity strengthens us by promoting unique viewpoints and challenging each of us, every day, to think beyond our traditional frames of reference. We are committed to building a talented and diverse workforce, and to creating an environment in which every food professional in the Arab World has the opportunity to excel based on competence and performance. These are the core principles upon which we operate.

Our diversity and inclusion efforts are comprehensive. They range from attracting and developing a premier global workforce within a food sector work environment that values unique perspectives, encourages individual growth and treats all food professionals with respect, to educational partnerships and community development initiatives designed to improve the quality of life where we live and work.

Our regional technical experts reflect the local communities and cultures in which we operate. Our objectives are to network, develop and outspread the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed. The result is a diverse and multi-faceted professional base of talented individuals supporting the fast growing regional food sector. Our multiplicity, sharing and inclusion for all is one of which our governance and professional team can be proud, and we pledge to continue building a workforce that will ensure we remain a fast growing professional and technical platform for EVERYONE, without any sort of discrimination.

“SERVING OUR PROFESSIONALS AND FOOD COMMUNITIES”

This new world needs are increasingly demanding sharing the food in a way that reduces food wastage, increases industrial productivity and sustainability. Products with the inherent agility to take advantage of today's application economy, where customers are more likely to experience a brand through a software app than a person.

Developing and delivering superior user experiences that engage food professionals has become table stakes. And networking and learning is a key principle in this process that says there is no end, only an evolving, ever-present, ever-expanding development. Learning and development also drives efficiencies for our food professionals by enabling them to quickly assess how technologies are performing within traditional manufacturing, catering, retail and hospitality environments.

This, in turn, enables food professionals to easily optimize resource utilization and minimize unnecessary expenditures. My interest in the Society is to make this platform not just a networking and knowledge-sharing society but also a station of modern day technology innovation and a supporting hub for all the food professionals around the region.

My office will be ever open for any support and facilitation for any member of this society.

“IT'S THE PEOPLE — THE FOOD PROFESSIONALS”

In the world of the food industry you get asked lots of difficult questions. But there is one that I find easy to answer. When I hear, 'What makes the Society unique?', my response is simple: IT'S THE FOOD PROFESSIONALS.

I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in other leading organizations, but I have never met so many talented individuals dedicated to the food industry future as I have since I joined the Arab Society of Food Professionals. Their passion for positive change goes right to the heart of the challenges facing our food industry today. But it reaches much further than that.

Together we can help the industry and meet the expectations of consumers, who demand greater innovation, value, food safety, food security and transparency than ever before. We continue to nurture this unmatched passion for food professional networking and knowledge sharing. In the coming months and years, we will bring more super-talented members to bolster our team, not only from the Arab World but also from the international community.

We shall ensure that everyone who joins enjoys the very best learning environment, encouragement and relationships so that everyone contributes fully to the success of our Society. What do the coming months and years hold? First of all, I believe the Society is perfectly positioned to support the food sector and new food professionals. For this — and many other reasons — I'm very excited and proud to be a part of the Arab Society of Food Professionals; prouder still to be working with such a talented group of people.
